About Me
I believe that the best quality that humans possess is the ability to empathize. My passion for creating things is, to me, a derivative of my pursuit towards meaningful connection and empathy. Thus my design process always begins with the goal of understanding a user’s needs, constraints, and motivations. I pay thoughtful attention to details and aesthetics, and I prioritize feedback and iteration to ensure final products that are purposeful and engaging. I’m particularly drawn to projects that involve complex and creative problem solving, untangling workflows, building scalable solutions, and working in collaborative teams.
My background is uniquely multidisciplinary. I have a degree in Creative Design and Technology Engineering and Computer Science, as well as formal coursework in Fine Woodworking. My professional experience spans front-end development and UX/UI design at a large global manufacturing corporation, running my own creative woodworking business, and designing and managing landscapes for a local gardening company. Each of these roles has given me a keen eye for aesthetics across diverse mediums (digital, physical, and living!), as well as a holistic understanding of how people interact with systems, tools, and environments.
I am currently seeking new opportunities with a team that values thoughtful design, strong collaboration, and meaningful impact.
